How it all began
Genealogy started for me in 1965 whilst working in London near to Chancery Lane.
Anyone who remembers research in those far off times will recall that the P.R.O. was in Chancery Lane and close by, Somerset House in the Strand. These were the main repositories for Census Returns, Birth, Marriage, Death, indexes, and Probate records.
I have gathered a considerable collection of family history data over the years. What started out as an interest in my own family tree turned into a major collection of anything Wigzell related
Nowdays it's hard to match the excitement of those times when you could still handle many of the original documents, instead of staring at film readers, and computer screens!
Nevertheless, today has so much more information readily available, much on-line at the touch of a button.
